![]() ![]() Hi, with Vista you do need the OS dvd to boot from it and access the RE (repair your computer option) and from here select command prompt (any copy of vista will do as long as it is either 64 or 32 depending on what you have)Įnter the following commands to fix the issue. ![]() There are no recovery CD's and I am hesitant to factory restore as I have heard that may not solve the cause and I really hope there is a way to keep my files.Įven a way to CMD prompt could be helpful. But every time it runs I get the message "startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically" and tle problem details are as follows: No matter what option I choose from boot options, inc safe modes, it will load Startup Repair. It now loads Startup Repair on every boot. Completely out of the blue, with no recent downloads or updates that I can think of it became really slow and kept freezing. I have an acer aspire 5920g which has been running vista perfectly fine up until now. ![]() ![]() Also as a little disclaimer, my only access is via my phone so please ignore any crazy autocorrected words! This is my first post on these forums I'm pretty competent with computers but I'm at a complete loss with my current problem. ![]()
